Im looking to go to college and I want grant because of course you dont have to pay them back but I want the best one and I only have one month before college starts…. HELP

You need to fill out the FAFSA to be eligible for Federal financial aid, which would include the PELL Grant. You also may need to fill out the CSS Profile (check with your school), and your school may have their own financial aid application as well.

My friend’s pastor husband died of cancer less than two years ago. The widow’s daughter wishes to attend a small college for the nursing program. Are their sources for funding for such a situation?

The daughter should register for FAFSA as a start. Nursing is short of workers right now and many scholarships exist. The Johnson and Johnson site below has a search for it. The daughter should also join Fastweb. That site includes scholarships for people who have lost parents due to cancer. The daughter can also check out local hospital programs. Many will pay for some or all of the tuition. The only downside is sometimes you have to agree to work for them for a few years after graduation. The school she plans to attend should also have scholarships/grants.

If she looks enough I doubt she’ll have to pay a penny for her education, unless she’s going to an extremely expensive school.

However, only two will win £50,000 to race in the 2011 Carrera Cup championships, and the kudos of Porsche’s patronage.
