I got the work study grant but before it came through, I got a job outside the University. So I was wondering, If the work study grant finally comes through and I’m offered a job by the school, and I turn it down because I love my current job, will the grant(the money offered with it) get withdrawn from my account? And if it does get withdrawn from my account, will I owe the school that money?
If you were offered work-study money through FAFSA, then nothing will happen. That money would only be given to you after you are hired for a job and start working.
This series discusses how to get free money for college from the federal grant programs at www.sourcesforstudents.com

My wife is a teacher, so she obviously doesn’t make much, and I work at a car company. We bring home about $3,800 a month together, but I lack 2 years of college, and we paid for her master’s out of our pockets. Is there any way I can get a grant?? Or are grants just for those ignorant people out there who are using my hard earned money to support their 5 out-of-wedlock kids?
The only way to find out for sure what type of aid you are eligible to receive is to apply. Complete the application at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov and let the school’s aid office determine your eligibility.
