Can you pay for being in a sorority from scholarship money not used for tuition and fees?
I’m starting college next year and I really wanna be Greek. So if I get scholarships and have money left over from paying all the tuition and fees, can i use that extra money toward paying for a sorority?

How much scholarship money did you get for college?
How much scholarship money did you get and how did you go about getting it?
Did you just get good grades and got a bunch of money? Did you go on sites like fastweb.com and apply to a bunch of them?
How did you do it and how much money did you get?
I got bright futures which pays for 75% of my tuition and 100% at a community college. I applied for that one online and met their requirements based on my grades and courses I took in high school. Then I applied for another scholarship that was specifically for the University I was going to and got it, which was 2,500 for each semester and $200 for books, I found out about this scholarship from my high school counselor. I did the fastweb thing but that didn’t work out for me. then I also filled out the FAFSA and got money from that too.

Do I send scholarship money to my college?
I just won a $1000 scholarship. The association gave me the money by check addressed to me instead of the college I will go to. Do I put that money in my personal savings account or send it to the college?
if you are already registered at the college for the next semester, then yes. i would definitely send it to them to be applied to your account, if you have any financial aid awards (like pell grants) then it will offer you more of that money to use on books and other items you may need. also, it reduces the temptation to spend it unwisely by giving it to them early. by the way… congrats on winning the scholarship, in today’s competitive market that must mean that you really stood out somehow..kudos to you!!
