  • Is there a college grant for Veterans children?

Posted by admin on October 17th, 2009 and filed under college grant | No Comments »

I am wanting to go to college and I have been told that there is a grant for children of vets.
Is this true and what would I need to apply?
Im 27 and my Father was in Vietnam.
I havent talked to him in 11 years, so also how would I go about applying for the grant without him around. ( I dont know where he is )

Any advice would help me out alot!

The grants vary from college to college. Some require you to be a child of a veteran killed on active duty. Some give partial scholarships to children of vets. There are also veterans’ organizations that give full and partial scholarships. You need to do some on line research (not asking a bunch of yahoos, but actually DIGGING) to find out what, if any, scholarships you are eligible for.
